Nano is BIG for TATA and India

Not always does life give you moments of awe. May be that is the reason we all watch films where heroes win despite all odds. But yesterday was different. Looking at Ratan Tata at the launch of Nano, you can sense how it feels to see your thoughts turning to reality. He looked victorious - victory over politics, victory over critics, and more importantly victory over his own imagination and power.

How often we complain about inefficiency around us? I do not say it is wrong to complain. I can understand how difficult it is to see incompetency every day and live with it. In fact I appreciate people's anger towards it. But how should we act? The question was answered yesterday.

In an ideal world, we all should have given Tata Motors the best of facilities and the message should have been "Focus on the world market, not just Indian Market. Lets customize the car for US, Europe and Asian markets and make profits". But this is not an ideal world, so the politicians in our country said "We will make it very difficult for you to succeed. Let us see how much you can take".

And Ratan Tata's reply was sent across the country yesterday. My interpretation of the message is "You do not have power to control my mind".

It is time to celebrate Ratan Tata's courage and no man would have been happier than JRD himself.

With lots of optimism,
Bindhu!!
